. In essence - In September 2010 issue of Consumer Reports put new skills after 2-3 years. The best portable air purifier that the test was the AP51030K Whirlpool with a total score of74. He scored excellent in high speed for removing dust, pollen and smoke. The unit was the second best hunter 30547 with a score of73. It also has excellent in removing dust, pollen and smoke. Installed by a professional HVAC systems, the Lennox Healthy Climate Hc16 was higher, but only two models were tested. As already mentioned, Consumer Reports does not test all models. If someone claims that the X is the best, make sure you have evidence to support it. For laser particle test, which shows the number of particles up to a certain size (measured in microns), IQAir HealthPro series achieves excellent results, usually filter 99. 5% of particles down. 003 micron with filtration HyperHEPA.
